I.Welding Requirement

To complete the automatic inner hole overlay welding of hydraulic cylinder. Make sure that the form is uniform and has a good appearance, depth of fusion and width of fusion meet the welding requirement, easy to clamp. Machine adopts MAG to finish the overlay welding of inner wall seam

II.Equipment Feature

1.Welding torch moves forward-backward along with axis and welds workpiece. Workpiece is rotating, the welding position is horizontal.

2.Workpiece rotation is driven by power head, end face positioning, rotary welding.

3.Machine has high voltage and slow wire feeding function, which guarantees reliable arc igniting. It also has low welding voltage and low current for filling crater.

4.It adopts push type wire feeding mode to guarantee the stability of wire feeding.

5.Welding torch can be adjusted longitudinal to suit for various welding type.

6.Using PLC to control the whole operation. The rotation speed of workpiece is adjusted by A/C inverter, stepless adjustment, to improve the reliability of equipment.

7.The welding mode and welding specification can be preset, saved and recalled. Via touch man-machine interface, the parameter modification and status switch can be conveniently reached.

8.Welding torch can be adjusted up and down, side to side and angled turn to meet welding requirement.

III.Equipment Composition

It consists of the machine body, rotation axis box, fixtures, conductive mechanism, welding torch clamping&adjustment mechanism, cross mechanism, electrical control system, welding power source and pneumatic system 

1. Machine body

It adopts welded body. Machine base is welded by square tube and steel plate. It will choose annealing heat treatment after welding. Column and boom, rotation axis box and end face positioning mechanism are installed in machine base.  

2. Rotation Axis Box

It consists of AC frequency motor, reducer, fixture and conductive sleeve and other components. The rotation speed is adjusted by controlling driver to change motor speed. The workpiece rotation is clamped by chuck. Conductive sleeve adopts flexible copper sleeve, the connection between copper sleeve and workpiece is elastic. Conductive oil is poured between copper sleeve and workpiece, anti-abrasion and good electrical conductivity

3.Welding Torch Clamping&Adjustment Forward-Backward Mechanism

The welding torch is moved forward-backward, driven by the servo motor,  to realize the switch between preparation and welding station. The welding torch adopts push wire type to ensure stable wire feeding. The welding torch can be adjusted up and down, left and right and angled turn. The fine adjustment of the welding torch adopts motor-driven up and down fine adjustment mode and screw adjustment, accurate adjustment, high positioning accuracy, and can be tightened after adjustment.  

4.Column and Boom Mechanism

It is composed of stand column and moving boom. The rail is installed on the column and is decelerated by the worm and gear, it is driven by the screw to move up and down. Moving boom is guided by rail, the motor is slowed down by worm and gear, than transmitted by rack pinion, to reach the forward and backward movement of boom. Wire feeder is mounted in the upper end of boom, it moves along with boom, to guarantee the stability of wire feeding. 

5.Electrical System

5.1 OMRON CP1E-40 PLC as control core, control the implementation of the welding program. Stable system, simple structure and easy maintenance.  

5.2 Workpiece rotation using Japan OMRON 0.75KW AC frequency driver. Using A/C frequency motor, the motor rotation speed can be changed through adjusting the frequency. Stepless adjustment, it can be displayed by CM/MIN. Low failure rate, suite for long time use.

5.3 Taiwan Wei Lun MT-6070i touch screen as the input and output interface. Welding length, arc igniting & ending time, welding current, welding voltage and welding speed, oscillating frequency, oscillating scope, oscillating time, torch forward and backward distance can be input through the interface

5.4 The welding torch forward and backward movement is using Taiwan TECO 750W AC servo driver to drive the servo motor to move forward and backward, it can move at high speed, also can feed at slow speed during welding.

5.5 Welding current, welding voltage and welding speed use D/A control, they can be preset. 80 sets welding parameters can be stored and recalled separately.

5.6 Integrated control panel box. Control button, touch screen, welding specification are in a concentrated panel, easy to operate.
